His works of nonfiction include Exorcising Terror: The Incredible Ongoing Trial of General Augusto Pinochet. A playwright to boot, Dorfman’s plays have been performed in more than one hundred countries, and his Death and Maiden was made into a film by Roman Polanski. The recipient of many international awards, Dorfman contributes to major newspapers worldwide. He is a distinguished professor at Duke University and lives with his wife, Angelica, in Durham, North Carolina.
