Join us for a Virtual Grad Party with Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library!

May 02

by Seven Stories Press

In celebration of the graduating class of 2020, author Jacqueline Woodson, actor Tony Shalhoub, and comedian Lewis Black will read a commencement address by Kurt Vonnegut — plus performances by poet and artist Manon Voice and musicians Charlie Ballantine and Amanda Gardier.

Co-hosted by the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library and Seven Stories Press, this unceremonious graduation event coincides with the release of new paperback edition of the commencement addresses of Kurt Vonnegut, titled If This Isn’t Nice, What Is? (edited by Dan Wakefield).

Your graduation is weeks away? Can’t make it this week? Love this idea and want to attend more? Stay tuned — we’ll be here all month with a graduation party every Tuesday in May. Future events will be posted shortly.

And, bonus! Our friend Ed Battista, owner of Bluebeard restaurant, has created a signature cocktail and virgin cocktail recipe for this special national Giving Tuesday/Kurt Vonnegut Graduation Party. How fun is that?

All ticket holders will receive an email with the link to join the party two days before the event.
