Boswell Book Company and Milwaukee Film present a special, ticketed evening with independent filmmaker, actor, and author Edward Burns. He’s the creator of films such as The Brothers McMullen and Newlyweds, he’s appeared in several acclaimed films, and now he visits with his first novel, A Kid from Marlboro Road, in which an Irish-American family comes to life through the eyes of a 12-year-old boy. This event will begin with a talk from Burns about his new novel, and then he will introduce a screening of Saving Private Ryan, a film that features one of his acclaimed acting roles.
