Authors Ibtisam Azem (The Book of Disappearance, trans Sinan Antoon), Clyo Mendoza (Fury, trans Christina MacSweeney), and Jean-Baptiste Del Amo (The Son of Man, trans Frank Wynne) examine the consequences of intimate and global violence in their work. Focusing their attention on the turbulent landscapes of contested land, occupied cities, and fractured family relationships, these powerful voices will come together in conversation to discuss the ways violence is inherited, and the methods they’ve used to write through it.
