Kia Corthron is the author of The Castle Cross the Magnet Carter, her first novel. As a playwright, she has received numerous awards, including several for her body of work: the 2014 Windham Campbell Prize for Drama, the United States Artists Jane Addams Fellowship, the Simon Great Plains Playwright Award, and the Lee Reynolds Award. The 2016 Brattleboro Literary Festival will take place October 13-16, 2016. The Festival is a four-day celebration of those who read books, those who write books, and of the books themselves.
