¡Viva Cuba libre!: A Reading List
Cuba has long occupied the imaginations of imperialists, begining with the Spanish colonial invasion up through the present day. In its most recent assault on the Cuba's sovereignty, the United States, both emboldened by the 'success' of the Venezuelan coup and reeling from the highly disorganized (and likely doomed) illegal war on Iran, has erected a blockade against Cuba, preventing the import of oil, medicine, and other crucial supplies. This is just the latest example of the U.S. imperial force beseiging the island nation, solely due to Cuba's political affiliations and longstanding resistance to the U.S. interference.
For further reading on Cuba, the Cuban Revolution, and the Untied States' perpetual war on the country, we've compiled a reading list of books by authors such as Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Tom Hayden, José Martí, Fabián Escalante Font, Sonia Rivera-Valdéz, Aleida March, Iván de la Nuez, and more.
